Since 2007 our unique collaboration has granted us access to some of the best vineyards from The Great Southern and Margaret River regions in Western Australia and enabled us to produce delicious wines. Our winemaking philosophy is simple and relatively non–intrusive – to produce fine and distinctive wines, that reflect the individual characteristics of the vineyard and variety.

Many organic principles are incorporated into our vineyard systems. All nutrition requirements are based upon stringent soil analysis, and a spring application of mineral based fertilizer that is microbial seeded and spread as required. During the warm summer months liquid kelp is used as a conditioner to maintain leaf health so important during the final ripening phase.

We always use a very soft fungicide program and rely on organically approved sulfurs and copper, as the backbone of our programs, used in conjunction with canopy manipulation to reduce the incidence of pests and disease.

It is a ‘holistic approach’; with each component affecting the next with a strong emphasis on soil and plant health as a natural deterrent to pest and disease.

Snake Charmer Shiraz 2020

Shiraz is made from grapes grown the Russell Road vineyard in Frankland River, the sub-region of the Great Southern that produces the most complex flavored and richly textured Shiraz in Western Australia. Typical inland continental climatic conditions of warm days and cold nights are ideal for the growing of dense, full flavored Shiraz. Grapes harvested at full ripeness in the cool of the night were crushed into open topped fermentation vessels, color and tannin extraction was facilitated with both plunging and pumping over of the fermenting liquid. At dryness the wine was pressed off skins with retention of the pressings in the blend. The wine was then matured in 100% French oak barriques for 15 months.

Red Right Hand Shiraz Grenache Tempranillo 2020

The Red Right Hand is the result of the union of three of the great world varieties: Shiraz, Grenache, & Tempranillo. The wine displays awesome color; deep crimson red, bright and vibrant in hue. The bouquet is a complex mix of ripe berry fruits and savory aromas. The palate displays rich and fruit sweet fullness with a complex and savory textural finish of mature tannin.

Raconteur Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

The wine is matured in oak and selected by Vinaceous winemakers Mike Kerrigan and Nick Stacy for finishing, fining, blending and bottling by Vinaceous. The Raconteur typifies classic Margaret River cabernet; lush, rich and deep purple in color with bright hues, the aroma leaps from the glass with violets and black berry and mocha notes.

Voodoo Moon Malbec 2021

92 points Halliday

Voodoo Moon Malbec is deep purple in color and has a brooding and perfumed bouquet. The palate is rich, layered and textured. The wine fills the mouth with its immense power and weight, but retains its finesse with long, soft integrated tannins.

Vinaceous Pétillant Naturel 2022

Before the wine’s first, and only, fermentation process is fully complete, it is bottled. Made in the ancient method of bottling before the primary ferment is complete, without the addition of secondary yeast or sugar, results in carbon dioxide being formed from the natural sugars already in the wine, and turning into bubbles.

For reasons of flavor, texture, pallet weight and importantly ripening timing, our Pétillant Naturel comes from a fusion of Arneis (54%), Pinot Grigio (30%) and Gewürztraminer (16%).
Fermentation begins in tank with Pinot Grigio, then Gewürztraminer finally Arneis , ferment continues for two months before slowing towards the end of the season (chill), but never stops.

The wine is racked a couple of times to allow settling. Warmth energizes the yeast before it is bottled.
